The Dill Lab studies protein folding by exploring the complexities of the landscape, relating it to the kinetic experience of a protein. The folding process is spontaneous and dependent on the primary structure and the surroundings. Temperature differences and other environmental factors can result in a misfolded non-functional protein. This drawing explores actual landscapes and experiences.
